The Charity Awards 2010 We are a major sponsor of this, the most prestigious awards for charities in 2010, and have been a sponsor since their inception. The successful award winners are invited to attend one of our Open Programmes. “The Charity Awards shine a spotlight on exceptional performance in the leadership and management of charities, helping to spread best practice and draw attention to the breadth of talent, commitment and expertise that exists within UK charities”
The Clore Social Leadership Programme We have created a bespoke leadership training course as part of the Clore Social Leadership Programme's personalised development plan for their Fellows. Fellows will also attend one of our open programmes.
Bursary Awards Providing quality leadership development on one of our Open Programmes, The Leadership Trust Bursary Awards are available to Chief Executives, Directors and Senior Managers of voluntary sector organisations operating under considerable budgetary constraints.

Grants When possible, we award local and community grants to organisations working directly within their local community, and whose objectives are similar to The Leadership Trust Foundation.
Individual grants have been made to young people in our community who are undertaking personal development in conjunction with a recognised charitable organisation.

Personal Development for our own people We have a close relationship with Concern Universal, an outstanding international development and emergency relief organisation working with some of the poorest countries in the world. Learn more about their work at Concern Universal.
Managing our environment We work hard to minimise our impact on the environment. Our actions and activities include:
- Protecting and preserving the beautiful and fragile natural habitats within and surrounding our centre
- Replacing any tree we have to remove with 10 new trees in another area whenever we can
- Installation and management of a reed bed system which is environmentally friendly and provides a wonderful wildlife habitat
- Green supply for our gas and electricity
- Waste recycling – especially paper, card and garden waste
- Reducing the amount of energy we use by thinking before using, having lights that are only on when someone is in the room, and high efficiency boiler controls on our heating.
For more information on our environmental policy, contact us and we will be happy to advise. The abundance of wildlife here at The Leadership Trust is testiment to this hard work. Learn more about the variety of birds we have seen here recently.
