(Source: CIPD Annual Survey 2010) Managers leading teams and change projects need to operate at their best.  They need a high level of self-awareness and self-control in their leadership to enable their people to stretch out and really achieve results into your organisation.

In addition to our portfolio of open programmes, we also offer one-to-one personal leadership coaching.  This can be a powerful stand alone solution (usually a minimum of three sessions), or can be used in conjunction with a leadership development programme to implement the learning quickly, effectively and sustainably.

Our coaches

Providing coaches for one individual or a number of managers across an organisation can be a tall order.  At The Trust, our group of experienced coaches is supported by our Sales and Administration teams to keep you fully abreast of the coaching activity undertaken at all times.
Every coach is an experienced leader with a career in the private or public sector, they each have recognised coaching accreditations and facilitation experience as one of The Leadership Trust's Tutors.

How our coaching works

One of our coaches will agree and explore measurable objectives with the coachee tailored to the individual's needs and those of your business.  The first meeting often includes the coachee's line manager.  This means the coaching outcomes are tangible for both parties, and future coaching sessions, either face-to-face or via an online or telephone link, will always be effective.

Inclusion of our 360 degree Leadership Audit is available to create awareness and assist in setting objectives before coaching and evaluation after coaching.

We recommend a series of three sessions as a minimum, although this often depends on the objectives of the coaching intervention Coaching outcomes are regularly reviewed against the individual's objectives.  We also evaluate the outcomes through a web-based system; this is particularly valuable with a group of coachees.

Leadership coaching with open programmes

Clients such as Jobcentre Plus have used our coaching services embedded in a bespoke leadership development programme.  Lead the Business included a blend of experiential and work-based learning delivered over a 6-month period and supported by coaching for over 500 managers across the organisation.  Implemented at the beginning of the recession this emotionally intensive intervention took managers safely out of their comfort zone in order to develop their self awareness and enabled Jobcentre Plus to manage the upswing in people using their services more effectively.
