Nichola Johnson (Interim Chairman)

Nici has 14 year of Big 4 consulting experience where she worked in a number of industries from Oil and Gas, Technology, Media to Local Government. Having spent a year in Africa volunteering with projects for children and young adult affected by HIV she moved to head up a portfolio of charities working internationally. This included Caring for Ex-offenders which seek to help people resettle in the community and maintain their choice to desist from crime. She also led work with the Armed Forces of various countries and with serving prisoners. Nici now works for a small consultancy business helping them set up a Social Enterprise venture. She has been a Trustee of The Leadership Trust since January 2012.

Major General (Retired) Tim Cross CBE

Tim was commissioned into the British Army in 1971; he commanded at every level, from leading a small Bomb Disposal Team in Northern Ireland in the 1970’s to commanding a Division of 30,000 in 2004/07. He completed operational tours in Kuwait/Iraq in 1990/91 and in Bosnia in 1995/96 and 1997. In 1999 he deployed as a Brigade Commander to Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo and was appointed CBE in the subsequent operational awards for his work in leading the NATO response to the Humanitarian crisis. In 2002, he was involved in the planning for operations in Iraq, and subsequently deployed to Washington, Kuwait and Baghdad in 2003. His final appointment was in the UK, commanding of one of the three Divisions of the UK Field Army. As well as being a Local Lay Minister in his home church, he is now runs the UK Office of an International Aid Agency, is a Visiting Professor at three Universities, a Defence Adviser to a number of UK and International Companies, and a Trustee of a number of Charities. He has been a Trustee of The Leadership Trust Foundation since March 2004.

Patrick Nash

Patrick has set up eight social enterprises, five charities and a worker’s co-operative in a third sector career spanning over 30 years. He has tackled healthy eating (in the early 1980’s), ecological development, renewable energy, workplace stress and much more. He has spent most of his time setting up and running social ventures and one of his few bosses was the Dalai Lama. Connect Assist, his latest social enterprise, works with a number of public and third sector organisations helping them deliver effective and efficient services and compete for contracts and funding. The company is focussed on creating jobs and development opportunities for people in the South Wales Valleys. Patrick lives in South Wales where he walks the hills and grows vegetables, and enjoys time in London at the theatre. He is married and has three grown up daughters. Patrick has been a Trustee of The Leadership Trust Foundation since January 2012.

Henrietta

Henrietta Baldock

Henrietta is a managing director of investment banking for Bank of America Merrill Lynch.  She has 20 years of investment banking experience mostly focused on the financial institutions sector.  She has worked with a number of UK banks on mergers and acquisitions as well as capital raising during the financial crisis and she advised the Irish government on the capital and funding support provided to the banking sector there.  She also has extensive experience of insurance mergers and acquisitions and has advised on a number of insurance company demutualisations and flotations.  Henrietta is married with two young sons and has been a Trustee of the Leadership Trust Foundation since November 2012.

Ian Feast

Ian has over 25 years of management experience with several FTSE organisations as well as detailed knowledge of the Third Sector. A professionally qualified life and performance coach, he has helped to improve business and personal performance across all levels and sizes of organisation. Ian has been appointed a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, the Institute of Leadership & Management and the Institute of Continuing Professional Development. In 2011 he was also elected a Fellow of the RSA. A passionate rugby supporter, Ian is also a qualified Coach and Referee. He has technical expertise in all areas of Operations, Customer Services, HR and Facilities. He has also served as Vice Chair of the BVRLA Rental Board. Ian is currently a Managing Director in a large European rental & leasing business. He has been a Trustee of The Leadership Trust since February 2013.
